Can you shorten a curved stairlift?
Most Acorn stairlifts can be shortened, but this must be done by an Acorn-approved technician.
Do curved stairlifts move at a fast speed?
The maximum rated speed is 0.15 metres per second (0.34 mph) to ensure safety while riding.
Can a stairlift go around corners?
Here at Acorn Stairlifts, we manufacture stairlifts that can travel around corners, spiral staircases, and across landings. Our stairlifts are customized to fit each individual staircase.
How long does it take to install a curved stairlift?
1 to 2 hours is the typical time that it takes to install a straight Acorn stairlift. However, with a more complex installation for a curved staircase, it can take about 4 to 5 hours. You will be guided through the simple controls of your Acorn stairlift by the technician after installation.
